They also demanded that they be immediately released.

Six persons die in night club fire
Six persons, three young women and three men, lost their lives in a fire that broke out in Novi Sads Contrast night club around 02:00 CET on Sunday.
According to the preliminary information, the fire broke out on the clubs stage and it was caused by faulty electrical wiring.

Local elections most likely wont be held in Kosovo
Serbias Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovi told B92 that local elections most likely would not be organized in Kosovo.
We do not want to violate (UN Security Council) Resolution 1244 and we most likely will not organize the local elections in Kosovo and Metohija, he stressed.

Syria to withdraw troops after peace
Government troops will stay in urban areas until “peace and security prevail,” the Syrian government said on Saturday.
“The presence of the Syrian Arab Army in Syrian cities is for defensive purposes [so] as to protect the civilians,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Jihad Makdissi told state media late on Friday, according to al Ajazeera televison.

RS: Charges filed for crimes against Serbs
The Banja Luka Public Security Center has filed charges against Croatian Democratic Alliance (HDZ) top official Boa Raji for crimes against Serb civilians.
The Banja Luka Public Security Center filed the criminal charges against Raji and another six persons for crimes against civilians and soldiers killed in Kupres and in camps in Herzegovina and Croatia.

Tadi calls on Serbians to return, invest in Serbia
Serbian President Boris Tadi on Saturday called on Serbians in the Diaspora to return to their mother country and invest in family businesses.
During a visit to Minipek-Plaane company in Despotovac which was founded by a Serb returnee from France Miodrag Jovi 13 years ago, the president underscored that he would like more Serbians from the Diaspora to follow in their footsteps and continue their work in Serbia.

Greek minister warns of neo-Nazi political threat
Greek Culture Minister Pavlos Geroulanos Friday warned that neo-Nazi group Chryssi Avghi (Golden Dawn) could enter parliament after May elections.

Two KPS members arrested on administrative line
Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) Gendarmerie officers arrested two Kosovo police (KPS) members in the Merdare region around 10:30 CET on Saturday.
According to Interior Minister Ivica Dai, the arrested Kosovo police officers had two automatic rifles, two handguns and special equipment for distance measurement.

Ethnic Albanian remanded in one-month custody
Ethnic Albanian Hasan Abazi, who was arrested at the Konulj administrative crossing, has been remanded in custody for a month, the Higher Court in Vranje says.
Abazis defense counsel Mladen Vasi has also confirmed the information.

Govt. must fulfill conditions until April 24
Farmers from Vojvodina handed a list of their request to Interior Minister Ivica Dai on Friday and announced that they will unblock the roads.
Protest organizing committee members say that the farmers will take their tractors and machines off the roads by April 24 but they point out that they would completely block the roads across the country the next day if the government failed to fulfill their conditions.

Kosovo court releases five arrested Serbs
Five Serbs, who were arrested by Kosovo police special units (ROSU) on February 25 in Gnjilane were released on Saturday, Ministry for Kosovo has stated.
The source from the ministry could not give any more details but added that all five men were on their way home.

Miloevis widow on spat with TV station owner
The widow of Slobodan Miloevi, Mirjana Markovi, had harsh words about eljko Mitrovi in her book entitled, “Destierrada e Imperdida” (Exiled and Unlost).

Kosovo police will seize Serbian license plates
The Kosovo police will seize new Serbian license plates wherever they find them in Kosovo, the Kosovo Interior Ministry released on Friday.
The Kosovo Interior Ministry stressed that such number plates were illegal.

Dissatisfied farmers from Vojvodina continued the protests against the government’s decision to grant subsidies per output unit rather than per hectare of land.

Kiosk in Montenegrin capital "sells heroin"
Heroin addicts in the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica are able to buy this illegal drug at a kiosk, according to a report in the local Vijesti newspaper.
The kiosk is reportedly located in the Konik neighborhood, opposite the local health-care center.

Fiscal Council warns: Planned measures are not enough
The Fiscal Council supports the Serbian government efforts to reduce the budget deficit, but warns the planned austerity measures would not be sufficient.
The resulting total of RSD 15.7 billion is not enough, even if it were achieved, the Fiscal Council said, adding that its projections put the actual figure that should come as the result of the measures at around RSD 13 billion.

When German Draeger Company workers found out that they will deliver 200 incubators to Serbia, they wanted to do something more for prematurely born babies.
They have come up with an idea to knit miniature socks for the smallest babies during their lunch break and send them to Belgrade along with the incubators.
